What to Expect on Your First Day of Injectable Training

Before you arrive

Most quality courses expect some pre-reading. Reviewing facial anatomy and the product basics in advance means day one builds on a foundation instead of starting cold. Arrive rested, bring your ID and any required documents, wear comfortable clothes, and eat beforehand — focused days go quickly.

The morning: theory and safety

The day typically opens with core theory: relevant facial anatomy, how neurotoxins and fillers work, indications and contraindications, danger zones, dilution and dosage concepts, consultation and consent, and aftercare. This grounding matters — safe injecting starts with knowing where not to inject and who not to treat.

The transition: demonstration

Before you pick up a syringe, your instructor usually demonstrates technique — hand position, angle, depth and product handling — so you can see correct form and ask questions. In a small class you can watch closely and get answers in real time.

The afternoon: supervised hands-on

This is what you came for. Depending on the course structure, you may practise on models with close supervision, starting with lower-risk areas and building up. Expect immediate, individual feedback and to repeat movements until they feel more natural. You are not expected to be perfect — you are expected to learn.
